Payment orchestration without becoming the merchant
The BYOM boundary keeps merchant relationships and fund settlement with the customer while Fox Pay owns routing, integration and operational evidence.
The boundary
Fox Pay is designed around Bring Your Own Merchant. Customers obtain their own merchant accounts and provider credentials. Funds move between payer, provider and the customer's merchant account; Fox Pay does not hold or settle customer funds.
What Fox Pay does own
The engineering responsibility sits in provider integration, normalized state, future routing eligibility, audit evidence and reconciliation visibility. Provider-specific behavior belongs behind adapters so Core does not learn each provider's protocol.
What is still roadmap
The provider-adapter architecture is an accepted design direction. Fox Pay Phase 1 completed the multi-tenant core; payment routing and provider behavior are not presented here as already shipped runtime capability.
